Since we moved to this house a year ago, the kids' playroom has been a place where we'd dump all their toys. I didn't organize it even once, so TLC is urgently needed. The kids ' room is at the top of my project list this year, so I decided to tackle it first.

This is how the room looks now 🙈

playroom idea

I still don't have a solid vision of what it will look like, but I'm letting my creativity just flow. I know for certain a few elements that I want to include, like a long, through-an-entirely-wall desk for kids' homework, a Lego table for play, floor-to-ceiling bookshelves, and most likely a mural.

This room will be done on a strict budget, and I'm going to maximize everything that we already have and sell some of their toys and furniture that we no longer use, like this TROFAST toy storage IKEA hack that I did a few years ago. It worked in a previous place, but it doesn't belong in this room, so sadly, I'd have to let it go.

The total budget for the room is $400, and I hope I can stick to it.

And here is a loose moodboard with colors that I want to add. I didn't want to go all pink since the kids' bedrooms were full of pink.
