Books are not only fun to read but they can help to encourage, lift your spirits, and make you feel better. It is like medicine, actually more than medicine, since it helps the soul, not the body. I thought since we take medicine when our body is sick, we also need a literary prescription for the soul. This thoughtful way to gift books is fun and stylish at the same time.
PIN FOR LATER>>>>>>>>
I had this idea for a while, but one of my friends inspired me to finally make it. She is a special wonderful person, who is finally going on an adventure of her life and needs courage and inspiration to do it. So I decided to gift her two books. Both are by Elizabeth Gilbert and both very inspirational. One of them is "Eat, Pray, Love" and another is "Big Magic".
I just recently finished "Big Magic" and the only regret I have is that I didn't read it earlier.
I thought it would be fun to make a Literary Prescription cover and add some of the watercolor animals from my Etsy Prints shop.
I tried to match the feeling with a spirit animal but it didn't always match, I just went with my associations. For example, giraffes are associated with fun in my mind and llamas with laughter. Don't ask why ahha
For my friend, I made a literary prescription for Courage and Adventure.
Here are the prescriptions that I'm planning to give to my friends.
Below are my recommendations, which are affiliated links. If you purchase a book, I'll get a small commission at no cost to you. But it will support my coffee supply😂
Appetite (could be any books on recipes, but I particularly love Kayla Itsinet's book "The Bikini Body 28-Day Healthy Eating & Lifestyle Guide: 200 Recipes and Weekly Menus to Kick Start Your Journey")

Belonging (I'm giving a book "This is where you belong" by Melody Warnick for a friend who recently moved here)
Fun ("How to celebrate everything" by Jenny Rosenstrach)
Motherhood ("Happy child, good sleep habits" by Marc Weissbluth M.D. for a friend who just had a baby)
